Design Options for Baby Headstones
Small Upright Headstone (300–450mm)
A scaled-down upright headstone in polished granite — typically an ogee, vaulted, or heart-shaped profile — sized to fit infant grave plots whilst maintaining full dignity as a permanent memorial. Available in white, light grey, or black granite. Can include inscription, motifs, and a small portrait if desired.
Flat Infant Grave Tablet
A flat polished tablet set flush with or slightly above ground level — commonly required by cemetery regulations for infant sections, and also a sensitive choice that fits gently into the setting. These can be beautifully engraved with name, dates, and motifs including stars, moons, sleeping babies, and flower borders.
Heart-Shaped Memorial
A heart-shaped headstone is among the most frequently requested designs for babies — it expresses love without a single word of inscription. Available in small sizes (300–450mm) appropriate for infant plots. Can include name and dates within or below the heart form, and a single motif if space allows.
Simple Inscription Tablet
Sometimes the most powerful memorial is the simplest. A small, beautifully finished tablet bearing only the baby's name — or simply "Our Angel" or "Our Star" — can carry everything a family needs to express. We take as much care over the simplest inscription as the most elaborate design.

Infant grave sections in UK cemeteries typically have their own specific memorial regulations, which differ from adult sections. Common requirements include: maximum memorial height of 300–600mm above ground; width limited to the grave plot width (often 400–600mm for infant plots); flat memorials required in some sections; and additional restrictions on memorial furniture (vases, borders, etc.).
